One year ago, with great pride, we announced that Mecoser Sistemi S.p.A. had secured co-financing for a project named “BEST – ISO Containers for Renewable Energy and Safe Lithium Battery Storage.”
This ambitious project became a reality thanks to the financial support from the POR FESR CAMPANIA 2014-2020 Fund, under Priority Axis 3 “Competitiveness of the Productive System” – Operational Objective 3.1 – Action 3.1.1.
Today, we are thrilled to present the tangible results of this extraordinary research and development effort: our innovative 20-foot ISO container prototypes.
These containers are designed to revolutionize the renewable energy sector as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), providing secure solutions for lithium battery storage in the automotive industry, electric vehicle maintenance workshops, and all sectors requiring lithium battery storage, charging, and handling.
Our containers are built in compliance with the stringent fire resistance specifications REI120 and are equipped with an App-based management system and an exceptional augmented reality experience.
This enables the monitoring and management of all key parameters and systems inside the container, including maintenance processes and handling of emergency situations.
We also care about the environment, and we are proud to announce that over 90% of the materials used in container production are recyclable. Furthermore, we have optimized production procedures, reducing production waste by 12%.
This project was made possible through the collaboration of outstanding partners, including MECOSER SISTEMI S.p.A., the ATHENA Consortium, and MPS ENGINEERING S.r.l.
